Bassingers Motor Lodge - Levin

We enjoyed a roomy bedroom in a fantastic location right next to the railway track.

The place is great, the staff are nice and welcoming.

Best staff, very good services, and perfect location near to multiple trains travelling as well as Levin and outlying areas. Neat and brand-new rooms with cooking facilities. What a very good stay, nothing too much trouble.

The location was convenient and comfortable, making it easy to walk to all the places we wanted to visit. This hotel is situated in a pleasant area close to the railway line, restaurants, and State Highway 1. the check-in process was straightforward, and the overall atmosphere was delightful. It was also a great bonus that wake-up service and ironing were complimentary.

The scare I had when a very loud rumbling noise.. Wow! Found out it was a train? Luckily not too often.

The location is fantastic! It's conveniently close to the main road, state highway one, and the railway track, making it easy to access surrounding areas. Plus, local shops are just a short distance away. 🚉.

Handy location for us visiting family in Levin and Otaki area. We stay here each time we travel south from Hawkes Bay.

Noise from trains during night....no double glazing in motel unit which may have quietened the noise down somewhat, Cost of unit somewhat expensive ($145) as compared with chalet unit at De Bretts Taupo with similar facilities cost us $109 (with pool passes included)

No nonsense service, friendly proprietor, quiet, comfortable room, ample parking

A heater in the bathroom would have been good

Bassingers Motor Lodge is a wonderful spot with incredibly friendly employees and a helpful manager. the location is fantastic, right on State Highway One, and it's conveniently close to shops and restaurants. Plus, the train tracks nearby add a unique touch to the experience.

I was greeted by name as I arrived. The spa bath was wonderful. The curtains made the bedroom really dark.

The welcome/info packet in the room said there was a compost bin by the laundry and there wasn't one (or at least the cleaner said there wasn't one) which disappointed me

Had to check-in late. Owner rang us before left home to say where key would be and room would be heated, milk in fridge etc....Great service. Room was spotless and comfitable, their information folder was very helpful and it was toastie warm when we arrived. Staff was friendly.

Super spacious and airy room with a comfy bed, plus AMAZING staff and jaw-dropping spa bath!

Everything about his place was great-Unit was clean tidy and well presented and staff were friendly and helpful

The location of this motel was very good as far as its locality to shops/restaurants – However, it is right next to a railway line- Trains ran all night-About every 2 hours or so-Not good when you have to get up and travel early in the morning

This hotel offers stylish rooms at a good price, complete with a spacious bathroom.
